We are a group that wants to impart our knowledge to those who are concerned about survival in today's world. We know the dangers & threats that can arise in the forests & swamps, as well as in our urban areas.
Our instructors range from ex-military including, Army, Marines, and Navy Seals, as well as CAP Search & Rescue, to Licensed Practicing Nurses.
This variety of experience allows us to give you the most well rounded training available in a survival school.
Kurt R. Howland
Kurt was introduced to life in the wilderness while growing up on a farm in upstate New York. Hunting and stalking game, gathering seasonal wild plants, land navigation, basic survival, and handling a long gun & hand gun became second nature.
After the farm he served in the US Army, then became a member of the 399th Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol in Danbury, Connecticut running Search & Rescue missions for four years.
Kurt attained his nursing license in 2001, and has specialized in Wound Care & Wellness Education.
Through out his life Kurt has been involved with self defense of some kind. He started Wrestling in High School, then turned to Boxing. He boxed competitively for 20 years, and now trains boxers at Tainio's Boxing Gym in Deltona, FL. He has also studied several different Martial Arts including Krav Maga which he now instructs.
